IDF Wounds Arab Attacking Eilat Iron Dome Site
IDF soldiers guarding an Iron Dome battery in Eilat shot and wounded a man who charged them shouting, “Al-lahu Akbar! I came to carry out an attack!” The Jerusalem Post reported on Thursday.
The man, later identified as a resident of Majd al-Krum in the Galil, was shot in the leg and lightly hurt when he refused to heed orders to stop.
During his interrogation after the incident, the man confessed that he planned on carrying out an attack.
He was taken to Eilat’s Yoseftal Hospital.
An Iron Dome installation was moved to Eilat recently, following rocket attacks launched by Sinai-based terrorists.
