A New Jersey detective using a store’s surveillance video helped track down the person who found a lost engagement ring, the Star-Ledger of Newark reported. When a woman realized her ring was no longer on her finger, Detective Donald Cook reviewed more than two hours of video until he noticed a man bend over and pick up an object before walking out of the store. Cook tracked the man to a checkout lane and obtained his name from his customer card. The man said he took the ring home because he was unsure what to do.
