A bus carrying special education students home from their school went up in flames on Monday afternoon in a spectacular blast, but nobody was injured, TheLakewoodScoop.com reported.
The bus, which was transporting students from the School for Children with Hidden Intelligence home, apparently overheated and started smoking, according to police sources.
The children were quickly removed from the bus, and the vehicle went up in flames shortly afterward. The children, including one with a wheelchair, were transferred to another bus.
The mini bus was completely destroyed.
