IDF Soldiers Dismantle Terrorist Memorial in Jenin

IDF soldiers overnight Thursday operated in the center of the Arab city of Jenin, in Shomron. The soldiers dismantled a memorial that was erected in memory of a terrorist who killed Israelis. The soldiers were attacked by terrorists, and soldiers responded with fire.

On Thursday night, IDF soldiers arrested a terrorist who was carrying a knife near Me’aras Hamachpelah. The terrorist raised suspicions among soldiers, who searched him. The terrorist was arrested without incident. On Friday morning, yet another terrorist was arrested at the same site carrying a knife. That arrest took place without incident as well.

Overnight Thursday, security officials said they had arrested 5 wanted security suspects in Yehudah and Shomron. The suspects were wanted for participating in rioting and throwing stones and firebombs that endangered Israeli civilians and IDF soldiers. Several of the suspects were also charged with belonging to Hamas. All were being questioned on their activities by security forces.
