Thousands of people attended the heartrending levayah of 26-year-old terror victim Malachi Moshe Rosenfeld, Hy”d, in his hometown of Kochav Hashahar in the Shomron on Wednesday.

Rosenfeld was fatally wounded in an ambush as he and three friends were driving home on Monday night. The other three are recovering from light to moderate wounds.

Eliezer Rosenfeld, the niftar’s father, delivered a very emotional hesped for his son.

Standing with two of his surviving sons and weeping, he intoned, “Even in the most concealed of concealed moments, certainly HaKadosh Baruch Hu, is also found there.

“Even behind the most difficult things that happen to you, He [still] stands, He stands — and we will stand — we will stand with Hashem.

“This is a great national tragedy,” he said. “It’s shameful, what is happening in our country.”

Malachi’s parents are among the founders of Kochav Hashachar, a village north of Yerushalayim in the Shomron.

Itayel Ohana, a friend of the Malachi’s, said: “You never had a spare minute. You spent every moment supporting, listening, and giving advice to everyone. You never had time for yourself. I won’t have anyone to talk to now. I won’t have a good friend … I can’t believe it and can’t comprehend that I’m talking about him in the past tense.”

Security forces were still searching for those responsible for the attack.
