Groups of anti-Israel protestors disrupted operations at the printing facility used by the New York Times and other outlets early Thursday morning, before descending on to the headquarters of the Times in Manhattan hours later, the New York Post reported.

The protestors converged on the printing facility in College Point, Queens, at around 1 a.m., and formed a human chain with plastic tubes, blocking dozens of trucks from picking up newspapers, and creating stand-still traffic on surrounding streets.

The hub also prints the New York Post, USA Today, Newsday, and the Wall Street Journal, among other publications.

No arrests were made at the scene, where protestors accused the Times of promoting “genocide” in its coverage of Israel’s war against the Hamas terror group in Gaza, and placed roadblocks using old office equipment as a barricade, in addition to the human chain. Protestors, many of whom were masked and wearing keffiyehs, scarves associated with Palestinian violence, refused to leave but eventually disbanded after around two and a half hours.

At around 10 a.m., around 150 protestors entered the headquarters of the Times in Midtown; police say that 124 people were arrested there.

In a statement, the Times said that readers should expect a “minimal disruption” because of the protest at the printing facility.
