Hamas Compound Unearthed Amid Ongoing Raids in Khan Yunis

On Tuesday, the IDF reported the discovery of a Hamas military compound and the confiscation of weapons during continuing raids in the Hamad Towers district of Khan Yunis.

In the past week, Israeli forces have exposed an extensive terror infrastructure, including a weapons factory, tunnel shafts, rocket launching positions, and command centers both among and beneath the residences. Substantial amounts of weapons, explosives, and military equipment were also seized.

The Hamad Towers, comprising 40 residential buildings, were financed by Qatar’s Emir, Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al-Thani, with hundreds of millions of dollars.

The elite Egoz Unit located a military compound containing various weapons, such as explosive devices, AK-47 rifles, and vests. A terror squad attempting to plant an explosive device near Israeli troops in the Hamad area was eliminated through a directed airstrike by ground forces.

Elsewhere in Gaza, ground forces, assisted by the Air Force, targeted a terrorist who had fired mortar shells at Israeli territory. Fighter jets also conducted strikes on Hamas military compounds and terrorist infrastructure.

The Nachal Brigade located and dismantled recently used rocket launchers, leading to Palestinians firing two rockets during the process. An airstrike eliminated the terrorists responsible for the rocket launch, and no Israeli forces were injured, baruch Hashem.
