Suspect Arrested for Rock Throwing Antisemitic Hate Crime

A suspect was arrested Wednesday in connection with a November antisemitic hate crime assault in Brooklyn, police said.
Mohamed Habachi, 23, was arrested for allegedly throwing a rock at an identifiably Jewish man and hurling antisemitic insults at him on Montrose Avenue in Williamsburg before fleeing the scene on a bicycle.
Police released his photo last month to enlist the public’s help in finding him.
Habachi, who lives in Brighton Beach, was charged with Assault as a Hate Crime, Assault with a weapon, Menacing as a Hate Crime, Menacing and Criminal Possession of a Weapon.
