2 People Killed in Tosh Apartment Fire

Tragedy struck the Kiryas Tosh Jewish community in Montreal Friday morning, as two people were unfortunately killed in an apartment fire.
Calls came in to the Fire Department, Hatzalah and Chaverim at around 8:20 a.m. from neighbors who smelled smoke coming from the couple’s apartment.
Reb Duvid Teichner z”l and his wife a”h sadly passed away from smoke inhalation after firefighters and Hatzalah were unable to revive them.
Reb Duvid was a longtime resident of Monsey, New York, prior to moving to Tosh.
