Tel Aviv, Central Region Come Under Rocket Fire After 8 Days of Quiet

Rockets were fired from Gaza at central Israel on Tuesday afternoon, the first to target the Tel Aviv area in over a week.

Warning sirens sounded in southern Tel Aviv, Jaffa and Bat Yam. Sirens also sounded in Rishon LeTzion, Kfar Chabad, Beit Dagan, and Bnei Brak.

Five rockets were fired, with one intercepted.

The Magen David Adom rescue service said it has not received any reports of direct hits or injuries during the rocket fire on the Tel Aviv area.

The Hamas terror group claimed responsibility for the barrage.
