Late Wednesday night, Israeli tanks entered the northern Gaza Strip in a precise military incursion as part of preparations for upcoming stages of conflict, according to a statement by the IDF.

The Israeli forces specifically targeted terrorists, terror infrastructure, and anti-tank missile launch positions to lay the groundwork for subsequent operations. Following the operation, the IDF withdrew to Israeli territory.

Army Radio reported that this incursion was more extensive than previous ground activities conducted in Gaza during the past two weeks of Operation Iron Swords.

Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu, in a speech Wednesday night, confirmed that the IDF is gearing up for a ground operation in Gaza. He noted that the timing was unanimously agreed upon by the war cabinet and the military establishment.

“We are working around the clock to achieve the objectives of our campaign until victory, without any political considerations,” Netanyahu emphasized. “We have already eliminated thousands of terrorists, and this is just the beginning. All Hamas operatives, whether above ground, underground, inside Gaza, or outside Gaza, must be held accountable.”
