Police Arrest 2 Women Who Stole Packages From Development in South Fallsburg

A rash of theft of packages from West Park, a housing development on Riverside Drive in Fallsburg, NY, prompted the filing of a police report which detailed how two women entered the development and stole packages that had been delivered.

Local community leaders reached out to the Fallsburg Police Department, and the detectives working the case were able to retrieve surveillance footage to help identify the thieves. Together with the assistance of the Monticello Police Department, police staked out the home of one suspect who lives in Monticello, and eventually arrested two women, Lila Puzio, 44 years old, and Ashley Weeks, 38 years old Officer Dixon executed the arrest with the help of Detective Sergeant Pavese and Detective Chevalier.

New York State Police had wanted the two suspects for other crimes they had allegedly committed.

Community leaders expressed their gratitude to Police Chief Simmie Williams along with the officers from Fallsburg PD for their work in bringing about the arrest of the two suspects.
