Jewish Woman Struck, Purse Stolen In Brazen Crown Heights Robbery
(CrownHeights.info) – A man riding a CitiBike allegedly struck a Jewish woman and stole her purse Monday evening on the streets of Crown Heights.
The incident took place just minutes after the victim had left family dollar on East New York Ave as she made her way down Schenectady Ave towards Rutland Ave. As she passed Midwood Street a dark skinned man approached her riding a bike at high speed, striking her and grabbing her purse.
The woman gave chase to the fleeing robber while screaming for help. Crown Heights Shomrim and the police were called, but the robber had already disappeared.
