By Hamodia Staff

BROOKLYN − Flatbush Shomrim assisted in the arrest of a pair of burglars who had broken in to a home at East Twenty Seventh Street and Avenue L in Flatbush on Friday night.
A former NYPD sergeant employee who patrols for Shomrim was flagged down on Friday night by someone who had observed a break-in. The patrol noticed a person in a van that was working as a lookout for the burglar and called NYPD for backup. As the perpetrator exited the home with the goods he stole, he fled the scene as he saw the van was being held by the Shomrim patrol car.
NYPD pinged the phone of the robber who fled and was able to apprehend him nearby. In the van the police found many items that had been stolen by the pair in previous robberies.
