Burglars Break Into Focus Electronics, Leave Empty Handed

By Hamodia Staff

KENSINGTON — Burglars broke into Focus Electronics in Kensington early Tuesday morning, but it appears they did not make off with anything after alarms scared them off.

Around 4:45 a.m., the alarms went off at the business on McDonald Avenue near Avenue F, and the security company notified NYPD, Shomrim and the owners.

Surveillance footage shows at least three perpetrators breaking in by smashing a window at the rear of the building. The burglars likely believed they were entering the retail store and wanted to steal its electronics merchandise – but they had actually entered the office, which is behind the store.

They opened drawers and closets, but it appears they did not take anything before fleeing when the alarms rang.

NYPD and Shomrim are reviewing footage and searching for the suspects.
