Minyanim will be permitted to resume on Wednesday morning in batei knesses in Israel, after being closed since mid-March due to the coronavirus pandemic.

The decision was made on Tuesday night by Prime Minister Netanyahu in consultation with Health Minister Yuli Edelstein, Interior Minister Rabbi Aryeh Deri, and other officials.

Mispallelim will be required to follow Health Ministry guidelines: up to 50 participants at one time; social distancing of six feet; wearing of masks; careful attention to hygienic measures, and appointment of a corona safety measure compliance officer at each minyan.
