Gas Prices Decline Around Nation

TRENTON, N.J. (AP) —

Gas prices have declined around the nation following some high prices unusual for the season over the past few weeks.

AAA Mid-Atlantic says the national average gas price Friday was $2.87 a gallon, down four cents from the previous week. The national average a year ago was $2.46 a gallon.

Analysts say crude prices are now under $70 — a $6 drop from earlier this month, giving motorists a welcome break at the pump.
