Israel to Approve Hundreds of New Homes in Yehudah and Shomron

YERUSHALAYIM (Reuters/Hamodia) —

Israel will approve construction of hundreds of new homes in Yehudah and Shomron, Israeli Defense Minister Avigdor Liberman said on Tuesday.

Israeli authorities were due to approve on Wednesday the construction of 1,285 housing units to be built in 2018 and advance planning for 2,500 others in about 20 different communities, Liberman said in a statement.

The construction was earmarked for “large neighborhoods in Ariel, Emanuel and more,” Liberman added.
