New York Grants $1M for Erie Canal Trails and Attractions

ALBANY, N.Y. (AP) —

New York state is granting $1 million for trails and attractions related to the Erie Canal.

The Corning Museum of Glass will get $148,000 to install a mobile glass-blowing studio on a barge.

In the Buffalo area, Amherst is getting $65,000 for trail improvements and North Tonawanda will get $100,000 to improve Gateway Harbor Park.

The College at Brockport will receive $57,000 to build a trail along the side of the Erie Canal connecting the college to downtown.
