Swastikas Carved Into Door at New Jersey College Dorm

GLASSBORO, N.J. (AP) -

Swastikas and other anti-Semitic markings were found carved into the doors of a residence hall of a southern New Jersey university, although none of the students on the dorm are known to be Jewish.

An alert sent over the weekend to students said administrators at Rowan University’s Glassboro campus were told about the markings in Chestnut Hall on Thursday. The doors have since been sanded and repaired.

Authorities are investigating the incident, as well as one last year when swastikas were drawn in chalk on a sidewalk at the school.
