Man Holds Up NYPD Officer at Knifepoint
A man was arrested Saturday morning for allegedly trying to rob a uniformed New York City police officer at knifepoint.
Officer Daniel Mervis was standing on a Brooklyn subway platform when the suspect approached him from behind. Joshua Muniz, 24, was holding a straight-edge razor and shouted, “Officer, open your pockets.”
The cop pulled his gun and ordered Muniz to drop the razor. Muniz continued advancing toward the officer but eventually dropped the knife.
