Minor Fender Bender Between 2 Jets at JFK
The tail of a commercial jet waiting Sunday evening on the tarmac at Kennedy Airport was bumped from behind by the nose of another airplane, causing minor damage but no injuries.
The mishap involved a Royal Jordanian flight from Amman, Jordan, with 159 passengers and a Chautauqua Airlines flight from Charleston, S.C., operating under the Delta name.
The Chautauqua aircraft taxied to the gate under its own power and all 50 passengers and three crew members departed normally. Maintenance crews were reviewing the damage.
