In the righting of an historic injustice, from now on, teachers in the Chinuch Atzmai system will receive the same benefits as all other public employees. After a protracted struggle with the Education and Finance ministries led by United Torah Judaism MK Rabbi Yaakov Litzman, the teachers received payment retroactively totaling thousands of shekels in vacation benefits, which had been denied them in 2012-13.
