Court Dismisses Atheist Suit On Sept. 11 Cross
A federal appeals court on Monday rejected a lawsuit by an atheist group seeking to stop the display of a cross-shaped steel beam found two days after the Twin Towers was destroyed on Sept. 11, 2001, The Associated Press reported. The 2nd Circuit Court of Appeals sided with a federal judge’s ruling last year that including the 17-foot-tall steel beam in the 9/11 Museum did not advance religion impermissibly.
