De Blasio Has Meager Assets, Retirement Plan

Mayor Bill de Blasio built his reputation as a commoner opposed to the 1 percent. His latest financial disclosure report backs it up, according to the Daily News. He has less than $44,000 in an individual retirement account and less than $44,000 in a money market fund. His seven-page form contrasts with his predecessor, Michael Bloomberg, one of the world’s richest men who needed more than 100 pages to list his vast holdings. The good news for de Blasio was that his $165,000 salary in 2013 as public advocate jumped to $225,000 in 2014, courtesy of winning the mayoral race.
