NYPD Begins Three-Week Traffic Crackdown

NEW YORK

The NYPD is conducting a citywide traffic safety enforcement initiative over the next three weeks as part of Mayor Bill de Blasio’s “Vision Zero” initiative, starting Monday and continuing through July 6. Police will be focusing on speeding, cellphone use, improper turns, disobeying traffic signs and failing to yield to pedestrians.
