Saw Blade Comes Loose, Hits Manhattan Pedestrian
A 3-foot-wide circular saw blade at a midtown Manhattan construction site came loose Tuesday, flew about 100 feet through the air and struck a pedestrian in the leg, The Associated Press reported. The contractor, who was repairing a ruptured water main, was ordered not to use any saws until they were deemed safe.
