Troubled Brooklyn Hospital Slated to Close May 22

The State University of New York will close the financially strapped Long Island College Hospital in Brooklyn by 7:00 a.m. on Thursday, when all services will end. Patients are being discharged or transferred to other hospitals. State officials say the hospital has been losing an “unsustainable” $13 million a month.
