IAF Strikes at Gaza Terror Cell, 2 Rockets Land in Israel

YERUSHALAYIM (Hamodia Staff) -

Two rockets fired from Gaza landed in Israel on Wednesday, in Hof Ashkelon Regional Council and Sha’ar Hanegev Regional Council, causing no injury.

Earlier in the day, the IAF attempted to destroy a terror cell in the Gaza Strip as it was preparing to fire rockets into Israel, security sources said.

The terror cell was identified by the Shin Bet (Israeli Security Agency) and constituted an imminent threat to Israeli security, according to the sources.

Medical officials in the Hamas-ruled territory claimed that 12 people were wounded in the strike.

The IAF acknowledged that the strike missed its target, Ynet reported.
