NY Prosecutors to Know About Old Traffic Tickets

ALBANY -

Additional information about old traffic tickets will now be available to state prosecutors considering plea bargains for new driving charges, Gov. Andrew Cuomo announced Monday. The DMV will make the information available for tickets issued during the past 10 years when the original charge was a violation bearing license points, a drug or alcohol offense, or for aggravated unlicensed operation of a car. Until now, only data about convictions were available.
