Plumbing Co. to Pay $400K in Female Bias Case
A New Jersey plumbing firm agreed Monday to pay $400,000 to settle allegations it discriminated against female plumbers, The Associated Press reported. Falasca Mechanical of Vineland will pay the state $250,000 and plumber Bette Feldeisen $150,000 to resolve the case. She claimed the company repeatedly passed over her for projects and hired less qualified male plumbers instead.
