Low-Fare Southwest to Add Routes to New York

Southwest Airlines announced Monday it will start nonstop flights from Dallas to New York this fall as federal limits on the airline’s home airport end, The Associated Press reported. The new service pits the onetime scrappy underdog in head-to-head competition with American and maybe Delta for the route starting Oct. 13. Southwest will be based in LaGuardia Airport.
