Assembly OKs Controversial Women’s Bill
New York’s Democrat-led Assembly has approved a roster of bill demanded by liberal women’s groups, including an immoral provision that Senate Republicans have said they refuse to allow to the floor in that chamber.
The Senate plans to adopt the nine other women’s initiatives in the 10-point package pushed by Gov. Andrew Cuomo that combat discrimination in the workplace and strengthen human trafficking laws.
Those could be sent back to the Assembly Friday after Senate passage and voted into law.
