Corning Glass Museum Unveils Final Design
The Corning Museum of Glass has announced the final design
of its 100,000-square-foot expansion, which will include a contemporary art building and glass-making venue.
Officials at the museum said the $64-million project’s north wing expansion is scheduled to open next year.
Last June, the museum announced its expansion plans would include building the world’s largest facilities for glassblowing demonstrations. The new venue is being built in the former Steuben Glass factory ventilator building next to the museum.
