Lakewood’s New Postmaster: No More Waits

LAKEWOOD

In his inaugural address to the township committee, Lakewood’s new postmaster promised no more than a five-minute wait and said he will address complaints that the post office’s staffing has not kept up with the population growth.

Balvinder Singh-Minhas told Committeeman Menashe Miller (R) that he will look into the lengthy lines at the main post office, which Miller said has had the same three clerks for decades. Miller added that he sometimes finds that the line is out the door, TheLakewoodScoop.com reported.

Singh-Minhas said that he has added an additional clerk to the office, and that his goal is to minimize the wait time to no longer than five minutes. His response drew a round of applause from the crowd.
