Roadside Bomb Kills 4 Egyptian Troops in Sinai
A roadside bombing in Egypt’s restive northern Sinai killed at least four soldiers on Thursday, military and security officials said, adding that the attack was carried out by terrorists in the region.
The bomb went off close to the town of Rafah, which borders the Gaza Strip, said spokesman Brig. Gen. Mohammed Samir. Clashes ensued, killing a fifth soldier, said an official, who spoke on condition of anonymity because he wasn’t authorized to speak to reporters.
