Hamas Urges New Intifada
Hamas Prime Minister Ismail Haniyeh has called for a third Intifada, an uprising against Israel, applauding the recent terror attacks in Yehudah and Shomron, The Jerusalem Post reported.
In a speech marking the second anniversary of the Gilad Shalit prisoner exchange, he declared that Arabs and Muslims should prepare for a “big Al Aqsa intifada,” focused on the Israeli presence in Yerushalayim.
He also called for an end to peace talks between the Palestinian Authority and Israel.
Haniyeh accused Israel of exploiting the peace talks to “improve its image” in the international arena, and said the PA leadership needs a new strategy to achieve Palestinian aspirations.
