The IDF announced Tuesday morning the names of four soldiers killed amid intense combat in Rafah, in the southern Gaza Strip.

The fallen soldiers are Major Tal Pshebilski Shaulov, Staff Sergeant Eitan Karlsbrun, Sergeant Yair Levin, and Sergeant Almog Shalom, Hy”d.

The incident occurred in the Shabura neighborhood of Rafah, where the Givati Brigade Training Formation, operating with the Nachal Brigade, encountered a boobytrapped three-story building. Despite using stun grenades to trigger any explosives, a massive explosion occurred when the troops entered, causing the building to collapse.

Among the casualties, one soldier was severely wounded but stabilized, while three others were seriously injured. The IDF later discovered a significant tunnel at the site, identifying the house as belonging to a Hamas terrorist.
