In an overnight strike in Rafah in the Gaza Strip, Israel successfully eliminated Yassin Rabia, the head of Hamas’s West Bank command, and Khaled A-Najar, another senior official within the terror organization.

Israel is currently investigating claims that additional Gazans were affected in the strike. According to Palestinian sources, approximately 35 people were killed in the strike.

The White House spokesman stated that the United States is “aware of reports of the strike in Rafah and is gathering information on it.” Concurrently, the U.S. Central Command reported intercepting a ballistic missile over the Red Sea, which was apparently fired by the Houthi militia in Yemen.

In response to the attack, the Palestinian Authority is calling for international pressure on Israel. Clashes have occurred between IDF forces and Palestinians in Yerushalayim’s Shuafat refugee camp, and there are reports of additional clashes near Jenin.
