Israeli forces concluded an anti-terrorism operation in Jenin on Wednesday, resulting in the deaths of 12 Palestinians, according to the PA Health Ministry.

The IDF reported that most of those killed were terrorists. During the operation, Israeli bulldozers neutralized explosives set up to ambush IDF troops. Israeli soldiers received air support, a tactic increasingly used in operations in Yehudah and Shomron over the past year.

The Jenin municipality estimated that the operation caused NIS 30 million in damages.

During the operation, the IDF demolished the home of Ahmed Barakat, who carried out a deadly terrorist attack last year.

The Israeli defense establishment has conducted significant raids in Jenin over the past several years, with operations intensifying since the Hamas attacks on Oct. 7.

While the war in the Gaza Strip has garnered more attention, Israel has made significant strides in thwarting terrorist activities in Yehudah and Shomron.
