White House: Biden Advocates for Palestinian State Via Direct Negotiations, Not Unilateral Recognition

President Joe Biden believes a Palestinian state “should be realized through direct negotiations between the parties, not through unilateral recognition,” Reuters reported Wednesday, citing a White House National Security Council spokesperson in response to Ireland, Spain, and Norway’s decision earlier in the day to recognize a Palestinian state.

“The President is a strong supporter of a two-state solution and has been throughout his career,” the spokesperson added.
