Severe Turbulence on Singapore Airlines Flight From London to Singapore Leaves One Dead

One person has died on a Singapore Airlines plane that encountered severe turbulence on a flight from London to Singapore, CNN reported Tuesday.

According to a post on the Singapore Airlines social media page, the plane diverted to Bangkok. The airline mentioned that several people were injured but did not specify the number. The flight had 211 passengers and 18 crew members on board.

The flight landed in Bangkok at 3:45 p.m. local time Tuesday.

“We are working with the local authorities in Thailand to provide the necessary medical assistance, and sending a team to Bangkok to provide any additional assistance needed,” the airline stated in its post.
