Manhunt Launched After Terrorist Stabs Soldier Near Huwara

A manhunt was launched following a terrorist stabbing a member of the IDF near Huwara on Thursday morning. The wounded soldier, with a chest wound, drove to a nearby military post at the entrance to Shechem for initial treatment and was later evacuated to a hospital.

The IDF established roadblocks, intensifying the search for the fleeing suspect, believed to have escaped on foot. Additional security forces were deployed to the area.

Huwara, a Palestinian town, has emerged as a hotspot for terror activities in the Shomron, witnessing numerous attacks against Israelis.

In February 2023, around 400 Jewish residents of the Shomron clashed with Palestinians in response to a terrorist attack where two brothers from a nearby community were shot dead, Hy”d. The terrorist fired at close range as their car navigated through heavy traffic in the town.
