Following a rocket attack on Ashkelon on Thursday night, Israeli forces conducted a series of strikes in the Gaza Strip targeting approximately 25 locations linked to Hamas and other terror activities. The targets included command centers, rocket launch sites, observation posts, and other infrastructure critical to terror operations.

The IDF’s response was detailed in a statement which indicated that the 215th Artillery Regiment targeted the specific rocket launch site in Beit Lahiya, northern Gaza, from which the attack on Ashkelon was launched. In conjunction with this artillery strike, the Israeli Air Force carried out a precise operation against a nearby weapons depot.

These military actions are part of broader operations involving the Nachal Brigade, which continues to conduct maneuvers along the IDF’s strategic east-west Netzarim corridor in Gaza. This area has been a focal point for IDF operations aimed at thwarting further attacks and destabilizing terror capabilities.

Over the course of these operations, Nachal troops have engaged with and neutralized several terrorists. These confrontations have included close combat and the utilization of airstrikes to support ground operations. The IDF has emphasized that these ongoing efforts are essential to maintain security and prevent future attacks from Gaza-based terrorists.
