Anti-Israel Protestors Shut Down Brooklyn Bridge

A group of anti-Israel protestors led by a woman who has called for the death of all Zionists shut down the Brooklyn Bridge Monday afternoon, tax day, to protest the use of American tax dollars to aid Israel in its war against the Hamas terror group.

ABC News reports that some arrests have been made, and that the westbound side of the bridge remained closed as of 4:30 p.m. Both pro and anti-Israel protestors gathered at the New York Stock Exchange earlier in the day.

The Brooklyn Bridge protest, organized by the organization Within Our Lifetime, is the latest attempt at disrupting New York life by the group, which has carried out similar activities at bridges and JFK airport since the Oct. 7 massacre.

WOL’s founder, Nerdeen Kiswani, has called for the death of all “Zionists,” and publicly threatened to burn a Jewish student alive, because he was wearing a sweatshirt with Israeli symbols. Her organization praises Hamas and has called for a global “intifada,” a term which in the context of Israeli-Palestinian relations refers to murderous attacks on civilians.

Kiswani was also chosen to give CUNY Law’s commencement speech in 2022, after she had already formed her group and made statements calling for the death of all Zionists, among other inciteful rhetoric.
