An explosion Monday on the northern border resulted in injuries to four IDF soldiers, the IDF Spokesperson’s Unit announced. The cause of the explosion remains uncertain as military investigations continue. “The origin of the explosion has yet to be determined,” stated the IDF.

The injuries range in severity: one soldier was seriously wounded, two sustained moderate wounds, and one suffered minor wounds. After receiving initial medical treatment on-site, they were transported to Galilee Medical Center for further care.

Initial reports from the IDF suggest that the explosion occurred during routine operations near the border. Investigators are considering several possibilities, including a Hezbollah explosive device or an old landmine, as potential causes of the blast.
