President Biden meeting with his national security team for an update on Iran’s attacks against Israel.

Leaders of countries around the world rallied around Israel as it came under attack from over two hundred Iranian drones and missiles.

President Joe Biden released a statement in which he wrote, “I condemn these attacks in the strongest possible terms.

“At my direction, to support the defense of Israel, the U.S. military moved aircraft and ballistic missile defense destroyers to the region over the course of the past week. Thanks to these deployments and the extraordinary skill of our servicemembers, we helped Israel take down nearly all of the incoming drones and missiles.

“I’ve just spoken with Prime Minister Netanyahu to reaffirm America’s ironclad commitment to the security of Israel. I told him that Israel demonstrated a remarkable capacity to defend against and defeat even unprecedented attacks – sending a clear message to its foes that they cannot effectively threaten the security of Israel.

Tomorrow, I will convene my fellow G7 leaders to coordinate a united diplomatic response to Iran’s brazen attack. My team will engage with their counterparts across the region. And we will stay in close touch with Israel’s leaders. And while we have not seen attacks on our forces or facilities today, we will remain vigilant to all threats and will not hesitate to take all necessary action to protect our people.”

Rishi Sunak, Prime Minister of the United Kingdom, released a statement in which he strongly condemned the Iranian attack.

“I condemn in the strongest terms the Iranian regime’s reckless attack against Israel.

“Iran has once again demonstrated that it is intent on sowing chaos in ots own backyard.

“The UK will continue to stand up for Israel’s security and that of all our regional partners, including Jordan and Iraq.”

The prime minister said that his country is urgently working to stabilize the situation and prevent further escalation, noting that no one wants further bloodshed.

Speaker of the house Mike Johnson (R-LA) said, “As Israel faces this vicious attack from Iran, America must show our full resolve to stand with our critical ally,” Johnson said in a statement. “The world must be assured: Israel is not alone.

“I will continue to engage with the White House to insist upon a proper response,” he said. “The Biden Administration’s undermining of Israel and appeasement of Iran have contributed to these terrible developments.”

“Enough is enough-the Biden administration must take concrete steps to support Israel, our closest ally,” Representative Mike Lawler (R-N.Y.) said in a press release. “This is a direct Iranian attack, after the regime has consistently used it proxies, warrants immediate U.S. action to back any Israeli response.”

“This is the moment for the United States to show we stand together with our allies. Our shared enemies, including Iran and their proxies, need to know our commitment is unwavering,” Sen. Roger Wicker, R-Miss., the highest-ranking Republican on the Senate Armed Services Committee, said in a press release. “We must join with Israel to ensure that Iran’s aggression is met with resolute action and resounding strength.”

“Iran has encircled Israel and has been attacking our Israeli allies from almost every front for months. They have launched attacks from Syria, Iraq, Yemen, the West Bank, Hezbollah-controlled Lebanon, and of course the Hamas-controlled Gaza Strip. Now they have escalated by launching attacks directly from Iranian territory,” Sen. Ted Cruz, R-Texas, member of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, said in a statement. “These attacks are enabled and financed by deliberate policy choices made by Joe Biden and Biden officials, who have allowed roughly $100 billion to flow to Iran since 2021. Americans and Israelis have been made catastrophically more vulnerable by these policies.”

“Iran’s drone strikes show us President Biden’s approach with Iran and the Middle East is backwards,” Rep. Nancy Mace (R-S.C.) wrote in an X post. “Now as we risk entering WWIII, the U.S. must stand by Israel’s commitment to democracy. The president must stand firm, and stop coddling Iran immediately.”

House Democratic Leader Hakeem Jeffries released the following statement regarding Iran’s attacks on Israel:

Iran, a sworn enemy of the United States, has launched an unprecedented attack against our Democratic ally, the State of Israel. America’s commitment to Israel’s security is ironclad and unbreakable. Iran will not succeed. We stand with the people of Israel during this moment of significant challenge.

Israel’s Ambassador to the UN Gilad Erdan addressed an urgent letter tonight to the President of the UN Security Council and demanded the urgent meeting of the Council.

Ambassador Erdan demanded that the Council unequivocally condemn Iran’s attack on Israel and declare the Revolutionary Guards a terrorist organization.

According to Ambassador Erdan: “Iran’s attack is a significant threat to world peace and security. Iran even bragged about the attack, which is a serious and dangerous escalation.

Israel demands an immediate convening of the Security Council and an unequivocal condemnation of Iran for the serious violations it has committed. Israel demands that the council declare the Revolutionary Guards a terrorist organization.
