A massive search is underway for a 14-year-old shepherd missing in the Binyamin region.

The shepherd, Binyamin Ahimeir, of the Malachei Hashalom outpost, went out with his sheep Friday morning, but the flock returned several hours later without him.

IDF personnel, including special forces, have been working since the early afternoon from the air and on the ground, along with the Israel Police and other forces and canine units. They are blocking roads and scanning the area.

According to The Times of Israel, Shin Bet along with hundreds of volunteers have joined the army and Border Police in searching the nearby Arab villages of Duma and al-Mughayyir.

According to a statement by the Israel Dog Unit, “Binyamin’s traces disappeared — as if the earth had swallowed him — which raises serious fears for his life.”

Readers are asked to daven for the safe return of Binyamin ben Miriam.
