Authorities Seize 50,000 Illegally Smuggled Eggs

Ahead of Pesach, Agriculture Ministry inspectors in Israel intercepted 50,000 eggs illegally smuggled from the Palestinian Authority.

Many of the eggs bore counterfeit stamps imitating those of certified Israeli sorting facilities. The seizure occurred across six uncooled and unhygienic warehouses in Yerushalayim.

These eggs were set to be distributed to supermarkets and retail stores within the Yerushalayim vicinity.

Subsequently, the confiscated eggs were disposed of.
