Suspect Arrested in Attempted Kidnapping in Williamsburg

A suspect has been arrested after allegedly trying to kidnap a Jewish girl in Williamsburg Sunday morning, police tell Hamodia.
The incident occurred at around 10 a.m. on Harrison Avenue near Rutledge Street, when a Toyota SUV stopped in front of an 11-year-old girl who was walking home. The suspect displayed money to the girl and told her to get into the car.
The victim refused and told her parents what had happened, and they proceeded to call police and Shomrim.
A license plate reading system used by Shomrim picked up the suspect’s car in Queens, where he was arrested by police at around 12:15 p.m.
